SWIFT CURRENT, Saskatchewan, March 23, 2009... It was announced a short time ago the world will stop for nine days in Swift Current. March 20-28, 2010 the City will host the Ford World Women's Curling Championship. It will take about 350 dedicated volunteers to make this event a great one. This is an opportunity to be a part of this exciting and memorable event, where the finest curlers in the world will compete. The Host Committee will begin receiving applications for volunteers on Friday, March 27th, 2009.Volunteers can apply on the web at www.seasonofchampions.ca.

This announcement follows on the heels of a very successful ticket launch on March 7, 2009. Ticket sales are going better than anticipated and fans are encouraged to buy now to avoid disappointment.
