2010 World Financial Group Seniors , as part of the Canadian Curling Association's 2009-2010 season events, will be hosted by the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club and will welcome 96 of Canada's top male and female senior curlers. Ottawa has a history of hosting first class, Canadian and International sporting championships. The successful hosting of this, and similar events, is only possible due to the timeless and excellent work of volunteers from the area.

A target of 200 volunteers will be recruited for the 2010 World Financial Group Seniors and all interested individuals are invited to apply for exciting volunteer opportunities. Your application will be processed as soon as possible and the 2010 World Financial Group Seniors Volunteer Committee will do it's very best to match individuals with desired positions.

Conditions and Benefits of Volunteering

• You must be 18 years of age or older as of March 1, 2010.
• Dates of the 2010 World Financial Group Seniors are March 19 - 28, 2010. Setup begins on Wednesday, March 17, 2010. The player reception and opening ceremonies are March 19, 2010. Competition begins March 20.
• All applicants will be contacted by email or telephone regarding their application by January 1, 2010.
• By applying to become a Volunteer for the 2010 World Financial Group Seniors you acknowledge and agree with the following:
  a) A minimum of 16 hours volunteer service will be required (before, during or following the event).
  b) A Volunteer Rewards Package fee of $35.00 payable by credit card or cheque to the "Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club" by February 1st, 2010. Note: Ottawa Hunt members will have the charge applied to their account. 
  c) Volunteers are requested to wear black pants and the volunteer turtleneck top.
• All accepted applicants will receive, as part of their Volunteer Rewards Package:
  a) A volunteer turtle neck sweater
  b) Event pass
  c) Event pin
  d) Invitation to the Volunteer Appreciation Party
