SOREL-TRACY, January 19...Ontario (Rachel Homan of Ottawa) and Manitoba (Alex Forrest of Winnipeg) continue to lead at the M&M Meat Shops Canadian Juniors, presented by AMJ Campbell Van Lines.

While Ontario, still perfect at 6-0, had a Tuesday evening bye, Manitoba faced Nova Scotia (Scott Garnett of Halifax), winning 9-5 to improve to 7-0.

Right behind at 6-1 is Saskatchewan (Braeden Moskowy of Regina), which stopped defending champion Prince Edward Island (Brett Gallant of Charlottetown), 8-3.  

Ontario (Jake Walker of Kitchener) is at 5-1 after an evening bye, while Gallant, who was on a four-game win streak, dropped to 5-3.

Idle British Columbia (Tyler Klymchuk of Langley) and Alberta (Brendan Bottcher of Edmonton) are at 4-3 while Nova Scotia dropped to 4-4.

In other men's Draw 12 results, Northern Ontario (Christian Tolusso of Thunder Bay) edged Quebec (Kevin Rivest of Montreal), 6-5, while Newfoundland and Labrador (Kelly Schuh of St. John's) shaded New Brunswick (Josh Barry of Rothesay), 9-8 in an extra end, its second win in a row.

In women's, Ontario is being chased by Northern Ontario (Kendra Lilly of Sudbury), which defeated Quebec (Camille-Marie Lapierre of Otterburn Park), 8-6.  The victory upped the Idylwylde Golf & Country Club team's record to 6-1.

Meanwhile, Saskatchewan (Trish Paulsen of Saskatoon) dropped a 10-8 decision to Prince Edward Island  (Sarah Fullerton of Cornwall), to fall to 5-2.   Nova Scotia (Tara LeGay of Bridgewater) won a defensive struggle over Manitoba (Breanne Meakin of Winnipeg), 5-1 while Newfoundland and Labrador (Jen Cunningham of St. John's) doubled up New Brunswick (Jessica Daigle of Saint John), 8-4.

British Columbia (Dailene Sivertson of Victoria) and Alberta (Nadine Chyz of Calgary) are both 4-3, while Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island are 4-4.

The round robin continues on Wednesday with draws at 10:00 am, 2:30 pm and 7:00 pm at Le Colisée and Club de curling Aurèle-Racine.

Aucun changement au classement des Juniors

SOREL-TRACY, le 19 janvier... L'Ontario (Rachel Homan d'Ottawa) et le Manitoba (Alex Forrest de Winnipeg) sont toujours en tête aux championnats canadiens M&Meat Shops de curling junior, présentés par AMJ Campbell Van Lines.

Tandis que l'Ontario, toujours invaincue à 6-0 était au repos, mardi soir, le Manitoba a fait face à la Nouvelle-Écosse (Scott Garnett de Halifax) et a gagné (9-5) pour améliorer sa fiche à 7-0.

Tout juste derrière à -1, il y a la Saskatchewan (Braeden Moskowy de Regina) qui a battu le champion en titre de l'Île-du-Prince-Édouard (Brett Gallant de Charlottetown), 8-3.  

L'Ontario (Jake Walker de Kitchener) est à 5-1 tandis que Gallant qui avait gagné quatre matchs de suite auparavant est maintenant à 5-3.

La Colombie-Britannique (Tyler Klymchuk de Langley) et l'Alberta (Brendan Bottcher d'Edmonton) sont à 4-3 tandis que la Nouvelle-Écosse est 4-4.

Dans les autres matchs masculins de la 12e ronde, le Nord de l'Ontario (Christian Tolusso de Thunder Bay) a défait le Québec (Kevin Rivest de Montréal), 6-5 tandis que Terre-Neuve et Labrador (Kelly Schuh de St. John's) a difficilement battu le Nouveau-Brunswick (Josh Barry de Rothesay), 9-8 dans une manche supplémentaire; c'est son deuxième gain de suite.

Chez les femmes, l'Ontario est pourchassé par le Nord de l'Ontario (Kendra Lilly de Sudbury) qui a battu le Québec (Camille-Marie Lapierre d'Otterburn Park), 8-6.  Avec cette victoire, l'équipe du Idylwylde Golf & Country Club présente une fiche de 6-1.
