General Information

• You must be 18 years of age or older as of March 6, 2010 to volunteer for the 2010 Tim Hortons Brier.
• Dependent on response from volunteers, all applications MAY NOT be required/accepted.
• Dates of the 2010 Tim Hortons Brier are March 6 - 14, 2010.
• All applicants will be contacted regarding their application no later than January 1, 2010.
• Every effort will be made to assign volunteers to their area of choice. We hope many volunteers will want to assist in any area.
• To ensure access to games, volunteers should purchase tickets/packages to sit and watch the event in the Arena.

Conditions of Volunteering

By applying to become a Volunteer for the 2010 Tim Hortons Brier you acknowledge and agree with the following:

• A minimum contribution of 24 hours volunteer service will be required for the event.
  All accepted Volunteers are required to pay a $75 Volunteer Rewards Package Fee, payable to "2010 Tim Hortons Brier."
• This payment must be collected within two weeks of being accepted as a volunteer.
• Authorization to perform a security and background check.
• Authorization for photographs to be taken and used by the 2010 Tim Hortons Brier.
• Photo Identification is required at the Volunteer Rewards pickup.
• If I chose to purchase a full event Bronze ticket package, I understand that I will be confirmed as a volunteer following either the payment of the $75 Rewards Package Fee OR upon proof of purchase (confirmation letter) of the full event Bronze ticket package to the 2010 Tim Hortons Brier, in which case I will not be required to pay Rewards Package Fee.

All accepted applicants will receive, as part of their Volunteer Rewards Package a variety of benefits including, but not limited to:

• An Official 2010 Tim Hortons Brier Volunteer Uniform consisting of two (2)quality clothing items
• Access to the famous Keith’s Brier Patch and Purple Heart Lounge (limited daytime access)
• Opportunity to have your volunteer fee applied against the full purchase price of Bronze full-event ticket pass.
• Limited Edition Volunteer Pin (not available to the general public)
• Volunteer handbook
• Two pre-event Volunteer Pep Rallies with Entertainment, food & beverage and prizes
• A discount to purchase 2010 Tim Hortons Brier merchandise
• Invitation to the Volunteer Appreciation Party
