Qualified Teams
Men's teams from Canada, China and Japan are currently qualified to play in the 2009 Ford World Men's Curling Championship.

Brazil has challenged for one of the 2 spots and as a result a playoff will be held between USA and Brazil in January. The 3rd qualifying event will be held in Europe in December, where 8 countries will qualify.
