In 1964 the first Canadian Mixed Curling Championship was held in Toronto under the sponsorship of O'Keefe Breweries. O'Keefe's maintained their sponsorship through 1970.

In 1973, the House of Seagrams assumed the sponsorship of the Canadian Mixed Curling Championship which was relinquished in 1983. New national sponsorship is currently being solicited for this ever popular aspect of the roarin' game.

Mixed curling continues to lead the way in the growth category in almost all clubs throughout Canada. Mixed curling is well and truly established in Canada and will most likely continue to grow in popularity in the years to come.
