It was a struggle early on, but Manitoba, skipped by Sean Grassie of Winnipeg, won the Canadian Mixed Curling Championship Saturday at Arniatok Arena, 6-4 over Ontario (Wayne Tuck of Brantford).

Nunavut Hosts First Ever National Sport Championship

A major development in the territory of Nunavut occurred when the Canadian Curling Association (CCA) announced that it will be the first sport association to host a national championship (summer or winter) in Nunavut.
