The Canadian Curling Association has developed the Volunteer Information Center (VicNet) providing individuals with the ability to register and apply for volunteer positions, check schedules, communicate with the Host Committee and monitor their volunteer service over time.

All applicants will be notified of their status no later than January 1, 2009. Selection is based on:

• Positions available;
• Applicant's background, experience;
• Applicant's availability.

Once assigned to a specific area, a member of the Host Committee will contact the volunteer to discuss details of scheduling and job function. Each selected volunteer must agree to contribute a minimum of 24 hours to the event.
