VERNON, B.C. -- Sweden's Stina Viktorsson out-scored Scotland's Gail Munro 6-1 in their final five ends to come from behind and defeat Scotland 9-5 here Sunday afternoon at the Ford World Womens Curling Championship.

Scotland had led the game 3-1 at one point and carried a 4-3 lead into the fifth end  break, but collapsed in the game's second half, yielding a steal of two in the seventh end that proved to be decisive.

"It just wasn't my best game. You can't fault the way the other girls played," Munro said afterward. "I couldn't finish for them."

The loss dropped Scotland's record to 1-1 while Sweden improved to 1-1.

It was a big victory for Viktorsson, who was stunned by China in her opening game on Saturday.

"The bad thing (about the loss to China) was we didn't play as well as we wanted to," Viktorsson said.

"We had a tough start but I think we found (our game) now."

In the only other game Sunday morning, China's Bingyu Wang stole two in the final end to defeat Russia's Liudmila Privivkova 8-7.

Wang, however, was taking little credit for the victory afterward. "Our players played not so well. The Russian players played very well.

"This game was lucky for us."

The win improved China to 2-0, while Russia fell to 0-2.

The worlds resumes Sunday afternoon when Canada plays Czech Republic, Denmark plays Japan, USA plays Italy and Switzerland plays Germany.

The Canada-Czech game will be broadcast live by TSN at 7 p.m. ET.
