Volunteer Information

Regina and Saskatchewan have a strong history of hosting first class curling championships and this is only possible because of the excellent volunteers the province is known for. The 2008 Scotties Tournament of Hearts (Canadian Women’s Curling Championship), as part of the Canadian Curling Association’s Season of Champions, will be hosted by Regina, Saskatchewan and will welcome 60 of Canada’s top female curlers, alongside officials, coaches, media and families. The Brandt Centre at IPSCO Place will be the site of curling action and the HeartStop Lounge will be located in the Credit Union Eventplex also at IPSCO Place.

A target of 600 volunteers will be recruited for the 2008 Scotties Tournament of Hears and all interested individuals are invited to apply for exciting volunteer opportunities. To be considered for a volunteer position, you must complete the Online Volunteer Application no later than August 2007.

Your application will be processed as soon as possible and the 2008 Scotties Tournament of Hearts Volunteer Committee will do it’s very best to match individuals with available positions. Please note that applying for a volunteer position does not guarantee acceptance, but we value your support and interest.

General Information

  • You must be 19 years of age or older as of February 16, 2008 to volunteer for this event.
  • Dependant on response from Volunteers, all applicants MAY NOT be required/accepted (every effort will be made to contact all applicants regardless of acceptance).
  • Dates of the 2008 Scotties Tournament of Hearts are February 16-24, 2008 inclusive. Set up begins Monday, February 11, 2008.
  • Selection of Volunteers will be made by September 1, 2007 and all applicants will be contacted regarding their application by this date.
