Online Volunteer Application Process

The Canadian Curling Association has developed the Volunteer Information Center (VicNet) providing individuals with the ability to register and apply for volunteer positions, check schedules, communicate with the Host Committee and monitor their volunteer service over time.

All applicants will be notified of their application status no later than September 15, 2008. Selection is based on:

  • Positions available;
  • Applicant's background, experience;
  • Applicant's availability.

Once assigned to a specific area, a member of the Host Committee will contact the volunteer to discuss details of scheduling and job function. Each selected volunteer must agree to contribute a minimum of 20 hours to the event.

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION
CCA FEATURED PROGRAM:
GETTING STARTED IN CURLING
This program will help you teach students the fundamentals of curling and you will guide them through various activities that take place in the classroom, the gymnasium and, finally, the curling rink. The practices and games provided in the program should give your students opportunities to learn new skills, improve their fitness, experience the enjoyment of playing on a team and have fun!
