OPENING BANQUET – Sponsored by the City of Camrose, join in the festivities with the participants to kick off the 2008 Continental Cup of Curling in style on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at 5:00 pm in the Labatt Patch (Border Paving Arena at the Edgeworth Centre), for just $35.00 (plus GST and a service charge).  A limited number of tickets are available and must be purchased in advance through Ticketmaster by phoning (780) 451-8000 or online at www.ticketmaster.ca.  The deadline to purchase tickets is November 30th, 2008.  Tickets will not be sold at the door.

OPENING CEREMONY – The Opening Ceremony will be held in the EnCana Arena on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at 7:30 pm. 

AUTOGRAPH SESSIONS – Brought to you by the Camrose Booster, meet your favorite teams face-to-face. On Friday, December 19, 2008 from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm collect autographs from all of the ladies teams, both Team North America and Team World just outside the main entrance to the Labatt Patch (Border Paving Arena).  On Saturday, December 20, 2008 from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm you will get an opportunity to meet all of the men’s teams competing in the 2008 Continental Cup of Curling.  Posters with photographs of all of the teams will be available to record autographs. 

UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL – Sponsored by the Camrose Canadian, visit the Labatt Patch to have a chance to ask questions to all the skips from both Team North America and Team World. Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 4:30 pm you will have an opportunity to get to know Pal Trulsen, Peja Lindholm, Russ Howard and Jim Waite, the coaches and captains from each team!  On Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 1:00 pm it will be the ladies skips from both teams Up Close and Personal and on Sunday, December 20, 2008 at 12:00 noon get to know the men’s skips from both Team World and Team North America.  Up Close and Personals are live informative interviews with the competitors of the 2008 Continental Cup.  Audience participation is encouraged!

CONTINENTAL CUP SHOOTOUT – A chance to draw to the button for $10,000.  Visit the Rose City Curling Club (attached to the Edgeworth Centre and try your luck at the Cup Shootout for only $2.00 per shot.  Qualification rounds will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2008 and Friday, December 19, 2008 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm.  Saturday, December 20, 2008 the semi-finals will take place from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm.  We will narrow this down to four finalists who will compete during the fourth end break of the final game in the EnCana Arena on Sunday, December 21, 2008 for the big prize.

CLOSING CEREMONY - The Closing Ceremony will be held immediately following the final draw on Sunday, December 21, 2008.

The Hot Shots program is a version of the Ford Hot Shots played at the Brier and Tournament of Hearts that allows your facility to host a similar event for your members. They are sure to be excited about participating in this event, especially when they can compare their skills to those of the best curlers in the country!
