QUALIFYING ROUND – GAMES 100-218
- All games are 10 ends in length.
- During qualifying round games, the winner of the coin toss will have the choice of last rock in the first end or the choice of rock colour.
- The team with last rock advantage in the first end will practice first.
- Before every qualifying round game, each player will be allowed ONE practice rock toward the scoreboard and ONE practice rock back to the home end.
- Practice will start at the time the game is scheduled. For example, the game is at 2:30pm, practice will start at 2:30pm.
CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND - GAMES 219-230
- The three teams qualifying undefeated will be re-ranked and inserted into pre-determined games in the quarter-finals (games 224, 225 & 226). The ten teams qualifying from ‘B’ and ‘C’, will be re-ranked and inserted into the round of 16 or games 219 – 223 inclusive.
- During championship round play, the team qualifying with fewer losses will have the choice of last rock or rock colour. For example, a team qualifying from ‘A’ will have the choice against any team qualifying from ‘B’ or ‘C’. Likewise, teams qualifying from ‘B’ will have the choice over teams qualifying from 'C’.
- For championship round games between teams qualifying from the same flight, the draw to the button will be used to determine last rock advantage in the first end. The team with the higher pre-event seeding will have the option of first practice or rock colour. After each team practices, a designated player will draw to the button with sweeping. The team with first practice will go first. Opposition is not allowed to sweep should the stone reach the tee-line.
- Before every championship round game (games 219-230), each player will be allowed TWO practice rocks toward the scoreboard and TWO practice rocks back to the home end.
- Practice before championship round games will start 15 minutes prior to the time the game is scheduled. For example, the game is at 9:00am, practice will start at 8:45am.
