Online Volunteer Application Process

The 2008 Tim Hortons Brier Host Committee is pleased to announce that they have recruited their target of 1200 volunteers!! We are looking forward to hosting a great event with the help of these volunteers!

The Canadian Curling Association has developed the Volunteer Information Center (VicNet) providing individuals with the ability to register and apply for volunteer positions, check schedules, communicate with the Host Committee and monitor their volunteer service over time.

All new volunteer applications will be placed on a waiting list. As spaces become available, we will contact applicants to fill the openings. Selection is based on:

  • Positions available;
  • Applicant's background, experience;
  • Applicant's availability.

Once assigned to a specific area, a member of the Host Committee will contact the volunteer to discuss details of scheduling and job function. Each selected volunteer must agree to contribute a minimum of 20 hours to the event.
